Countdown to Eclipse!!!

So... here we are... 29 days till Eclipse hits theaters!!! We have finally entered into the 20's in the count down!! Happy Dance!!

So, since we are sooooooo close, I am going to be quoting each day until the 29th of June!

With out further ado... Here's the first quote of my OFFICIAL ECLIPSE COUNTDOWN!

" There's something... strange about the way you two are together... The way he watches you - it's so ... protective. Like he's about to throw himself in front of a bullet to save you or something."

"The way you move - you orient yourself around him with out even thinking about it. When he moves, even a little bit, you adjust your position at the same time. Like magnets..."

Renee, Chapter 3 pages 67-68

MOVIE MONDAY

Welcome to another Movie Monday!!!

As I continue with my Vampire themes, I would live to share my LOVE for The Lost Boys!!!

In 1987, a cult classic was born onto the movie screen. Jason Patric plays Michael, Corey Haim plays Sam, Jami Gertz plays Star, Corey Feldman plays Edgar Frog and Kiefer Sutherland plays David, the leader of the vampires. The movie was directed by Joel Schumacher.

Michael and Sam move with their mother, played by Dianne Wiest, to Santa Carla, CA to live with their grandfather. Santa Carla is a beach town and the murder capital of the world.

As the movie progresses we see the reason why it's the murder capital of the world, VAMPIRES are among them.

Michael meets Star, played by Gertz, and she introduces him to David, head vamp, played by Sutherland. Sam on the other hand, meets the Frog Brothers, played by Feldman, and learns of Santa Carla's dark secrets, vampires roam this beach side town.

This movie offers a little romance, thrills and of course comedy. The Frog Brothers and Grandpa provide the good punch lines.

I haven't seen it in a while, but when I do, it always amazes me how awesome it is! So, if you haven't seen or heard of this movie, I suggest you rent it!

And here are your daily quotes:

Sam: "Death by stereo!"

Grandpa: "Well, now, let me put it this way. If all the corpses buried around here were to stand up all at once, we'd have one hell of a population problem."

VENTING FRIDAYS

Well today is suppose to be VENTING FRIDAY... But I have a massive headache and to VENT would only make it worse... LOL

So... what to write about... Not much...

Took my kiddies to see Shrek 4 Ever After in IMAX 3D!! And I got my money back for my Eclipse midnight tickets!!!

Now, that was the first time Ive seen a movie in IMAX and let me just tell ya... TOTALLY IMPRESSED. As I watched the trailers I was visually amazed and realized that in just 5 short weeks... ECLIPSE WILL BE IN IMAX AS WELL!!!

So, besides the $30 bucks I just paid for my Triple Feature, I will definitely be shelling out some more dough to see Eclipse in IMAX!!!! And since me and my sis have a tendency to see our favorite movies at least 5 times, one or two of those times will be in IMAX!!!

Are you going to see Eclipse in IMAX???

I am really looking forward to the Metric song along with Vampire Weekend, Flo + The Machine and The Black Keys!!!

So, in reading EW's review, I am now seriously counting down the days for this soundtrack!! DONT FORGET, YOU CAN PRE ORDER THE ECLIPSE SOUNDTRACK VIA ITUNES!!

Eclipse Triple Feature!!

I love this:

Congratulations! Your Tickets Were Purchased Successfully.

Wanta know what that means??? I have successfully purchased 9 tickets to see... Twilight, New Moon and ECLIPSE on June 29th at my local AMC theater!!!

CAN YOU HEAR ME SCREAMING OR SEEING ME JUMPING UP AND DOWN!!!!!

What's funny is that they list the run time as 7 hours and 50 minutes! MY ARSE IS GOING TO BE NUMBED BY 3 IN THE MORNING!!! But ohhhhhhhhh so WORTH IT!!!!

Loud Ass Wednesday

In 1991, a garage band from Seattle released an album called "TEN" and the rest is ... well history!

LOUD ASS WEDNESDAY is all about my very first ALTERNATIVE or Garage Band PEARL JAM!!!

I was introduced to them through some guy friends in high school when the ALTERNATIVE scene just started. Back in the coffee shops of Seattle, these bands started to move away from Rock and Heavy Metal but began to mix the two into a brand of music that is still going strong today!

From Alive to Evenflow to Jeremy, "Ten" was a rockin', mosh pit barrel of vocals from Eddie Vedder.

Then in 1993, they released " Vs" followed by "Vitalogy" in 1994 which featured Spin the Black Circle and Better Man (or Butter Man as we call it, LOL). In 1998 they released the cd "Yield" which features one of my many favorites "Given to Fly" and "Do the Evolution." They also wrote and performed all the songs for the movie, "Into the Wild", which of course our KStew had a small role opposite Emile Hirsch and was directed by Sean Penn. Play "Six degrees" with this one! LOL

They sold out concerts around the world, played festivals and bars. They've played New Orleans numerous times, all of which I've been too! I've never missed a concert. Jazz Fest was amazing this year! Watching them, I realized how much I've missed them LIVE!

So, I suggest that you give them a listen!! Out of all the FIRST Alternative bands, Pearl Jam is and will always be my favorite band! It's great to pop in the Ipod and just turn up the volume and jam!! And of course relive my twenties... No comment from the peanut gallery!

I want to know... who's your favorite ALTERNATIVE BAND FROM THE NINETIES???

TWILIGHT TUESDAY

Here we go... I'm on the right day now... LOL

So, where's the news? Let's see... Ah right here....

MTV Movie Awards!!!

If you haven't voted for the MTV Movie Awards yet?? What the heck are you waiting for??? Run don't walk!!! Here's the link to help get you started!!!

http://www.mtv.com/ontv/movieawards/2010

And .... To add a little more to your plate, our fab threesome will be there to present a new Eclipse Clip!!! HAPPY DANCE!!!

Check out the link: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1639853/20100524/story.jhtml

Here's a little peak into the article:

"This marks the third year in a row that the Movie Awards are bringing you fresh "Twilight" footage. In 2008, the MTV News preshow brought you the first sneak peek at a scene from the original vampire flick. The next year, we premiered an exclusive expanded trailer for "New Moon." And come June 6, Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner will be bringing you a never-before-seen clip from "Eclipse," which hits theaters on June 30. "

So, in the words of Taylor Launter from last year's award show "Get out your DVR's, you're gonna want to watch this again."

That's right, the MTV Movie Awards on presented June 6th at 9/8c on MTV! 12 more days!!!!!

MOVIE MONDAY

I know... I know, it's Tuesday but I was out of the loop yesterday so I'm doing my Movie Monday today but don't worry, Twilight Tuesday is coming up also!!!

So another favorite movie of mine, still deals with vamps! Yep...

I fell in love with Interview with a Vampire (1994) the minute I saw it. Now, I too was on the band wagon about the Tom Cruise shit. I still to this day, think that another actor could have played Lestat better... It's just my opinion.

Anyhoo, this is also when I first fell head over heels with Brad Pitt. Not to mention that another heart throb of mine, Christan Slater, was in it too. YES, I'll admit it, I LOVE CHRISTAN SLATER!!! Heathers, Pump up the Volume, Mobsters? You get my point!!!

Back to Interview, as I like to call it. Neil Jordan took the helms of this awesome movie, based on the book by Anne Rice (she used to live in New Orleans, hence her always writing about vampires, LOL). Tom Cruise ( excuse me while I throw up my lunch) play the vampire Lestat. Joined by Brad Pitt as Louie, Kristen Dunst as Claudia, Stephan Rea as Santiago and Antonio Banderas as Armand.

As for the interviewer, this part was suppose to be originally played by River Phoenix. However, before filming began, he died and was replaced with Christan Slater at the last minute. As a salute to his friend, Slater donated his salary from the movie and royalties to Phonenix's favorite charities

The movie is just what the title is, an interview with a vampire. Pitt's Louis want's his life written for him as he has lived centuries. It starts in present day San Fransisco, with Slater interviewing Pitt's Louis. We learn about Lestat and the life they lived in the 1800 New Orleans. We also learn that even as a Vampire, you can still be pure and not have to hunt humans, as Louis did. He prayed mostly on rats. LOL

If you haven't seen this yet, you need to! Pitt is wonderful, as is Slater and Dunst. Her portrayal of Claudia, a fierce little vampire was amazing. Kinda of a Jane of the 90's!!! Banderas was sinister like his character and always gave me a chill.

I've seen this movie over a dozen times. I know every line, every scene. I also tend to walk by, every now and then, the places they film here. Matter of fact, the home that Louis owned is a plantation not far from my home here. But, no, at the time I didn't know they were filming, so no pictures of him. * sad face forms *

So, my recommendation is for you to watch this movie if you haven't. And if you've seen it before, watch it again. It never gets old!!!

Now, I leave you guys with my favorite quotes from the movie:

Claudia: "I want some more."
Louis: "I'm flesh and blood, but not human. I haven't been human for two hundred years."
Louis: "1791 was the year it happened. I was 24, younger than you are now."

VENTING FRIDAYS

VENT... VENT... VENT... What should I vent today about... Ahhh, gotta it...

Clothes and Kids...

So, I have four children. Ages 12, 10, 4, and 2. I don't expect much from the bottom two, as I call them, but my older two, I expect alot. I am a stay at home mom. I clean practically every day and doing laundry is a big headache in my household.

When the older two get home, they think they need to put on another set of clothing just to play and finish out the day. They do wear uniforms to school but it's not the kind that a private school would wear. It's simple khaki shorts with red collar shirt. I don't spend alot on school uniforms.

But it never fails, they come home and throw something else on and it annoys me to no end. Then, when they take their baths for the evening, they leave everything in their bathroom... URGH!!! I keep explaining to them that I am not a slave and I don't really enjoying doing their laundry at all.

All I ask is that they pick up behind themselves after their baths and keep that bathroom cleaned as all four kids use it.

See, this is VENTING FRIDAY, where I pick a subject and vent about it... LOL
Really wish the cleaning fairy would come to my house today... oh well, off to read some more...

Summpid Confirms Breaking Dawn

Confirming anything is worth a news spot? Well Summpid did and today!

Summpid has finally confirming Breaking Dawn (which we already knew), the release date of November 18, 2011 (which is too freaking long of a wait and we knew that too), Stephaine Meyer is also producing the film (we already knew that too)... seeing the pattern?

The only thing out of this press release is that Summpid confirmed that the entire Cullen clan would return to film the final chapter of this amazing series!

Los Angeles, CA May 19, 2010 – Summit Entertainment has confirmed that Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Elizabeth Reaser, and Nikki Reed will all return as members of the Cullen Family in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN. These cast members join Billy Burke as Charlie Swan.

So now what? We still don't know if we get one or two? I would settle for two movies, filmed back to back, with the first being released in November of 2011 and the second six months later, June 2012. I don't think they could shove all 700 and something pages in a 2 hour movie and make us fans truly happy!

Let's keep everything crossed and hope in the next couple of weeks we get our wish!

Loud Ass Wednesday

So, another day, another HOT TOPIC: LOUD ASS WEDNESDAY!

What is Loud Ass Wednesday you ask, it's simple, I love listening to music. I have an eclectic collection of music on my IPod, so much that I need a new one! LOL

So, for today, I bring you a band that I have fell in love with since I saw the movie Twilight. As you can tell by the Eclipse soundtrack cover above, I am picking my favorite group from the new soundtrack, MUSE!

Yep, I found them after Twilight and my sister hooked me up. I listen to them all the time when I'm cleaning or in the car with or with out my kids. Just about everyone loves the group!

I don't know what it is about them but they are amazing. Their newest CD: The Resistance is awesome. And now, yet again, they share a spot on the up coming Eclipse soundtrack, due out June 8th.

The track, Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever) was released Monday May 17th and is the #2 song on ITunes!! Then On May 20th at 8pm est, on MTV and VH1, we get to see the video!! Happy Dance! I hope we get some movie clips!!!

Anyhoo, if you haven't bought the lastest CD, I suggest you do! And don't forget, you can preorder the Eclipse Soundtrack on ITunes now, and you get 5 bouns tracks as well!

TWILIGHTTUESDAY

Welcome to Twilight Tuesday, where you can catch up on some news, dates, or just an vent about waiting so darn long for these movies to come out... LOL

So, for today, I have two little things for you guys! An article I read on USA Today about our awesome three some we have, Rob, KStew and Taylor!

They discuss everything from the Fame Game, to the "tent scene" and other projects.

It's a cute article and very funny.

Source: USA Today
http://www.usatoday.com/life/movies/news/2010-05-17-twilightstars17_CV_N.htm

Now for the next little bit of news, Elizabeth Reaser sat down with MTV to discuss our "tent scene"... goose bumps!

She's Team Edward, by the way, and describes the scene as one of the hottest scenes in the movie, as well as the book. I'd have to agree with her, well besides the LEG HITCH!!

You can read the entire article here:

Thanks again! Hope you enjoyed this installment of Twilight Tuesday!

MOVIE MONDAY

Welcome to my first installment of MOVIE MONDAYS!!! I am so excited to start this and hopefully my insanity will get me more followers! Hee Hee Hee Hee

So to kick this off, my first movie is one of my all time favorites! It is the 1992 Francis Ford Coppla's Bram Stoker's Dracula. (Pisst... you thought I was going to say Twilight? LOL)

Released in 1992, Coppla directed Gary Oldman (Dracula), Anthony Hopkins (Van Helsing), Keanu Reeves (Jonathan Harker), and Winona Ryder (Mina Murray) in the James Hart screenplay from the novel Bram Stoker's Dracula.

It's a story of undying love, wanting to live forever, and the sacrifice one must make in the eyes of their lover.

The actors and actress portray their characters beautifully. Hopkins is wonderful as Van Helsing and Reeves is a convincing Harker. Ryder's character is torn between her love for Harker and this burning desire to be with Dracula (Oldman). Oldman is amazing in this role. He plays Dracula with a sense of lost, hurt and longing for a partner to walk the rest of the earth with. His scenes with Ryder are beautiful and seductive.

I've seen this movie over a dozen times and it never gets old. I highly recommend it.

Now I will leave you with a few quotes, it's one of my favorites from the bedroom scene. The men have gone to destroy Dracula and have left Mina on her own in the doctor's personal quarters at the hospital, across from the Abbey. Its a very romantic scene, where the dialogue and score go hand in hand. It's also where, she makes the decision to join him in eternal love and basically ask for him to turn her as well.

Mina "I want to be what you are, see what you see, love what you love."
Dracula "I... I love you too much to condemn you."
Mina "Take me away from all this death."

Now, go rent and watch and let me know!

So with out further ado... here's the first in the making!!!

Tuesday: Twilight Tuesday - of course I need to give one day towards my obsession. News, dates, videos (old and new) and of course stills.

Wednesday: Loud Ass Wednesday - where I will showcase a favorite band, artist, or soundtrack - basically any music along with concerts that I may venture to.

Thursday: Thirsty Thursday - this will be picture day! Hence the name, pictures that excited the mind and makes you thirsty for more. LOL

So I hope you will join me, five days a week and leave a comment! I love hearing from all my followers!

I get noticed on Tweeter!!!

  1. MTV Buzzworthy MTVBuzzworthy See a clip of Muse's 'Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)' video 2mrow AM on Buzzworthy! @BrandonJChicago @KsyTurner @LaughingTwiGirl

CHECK OUT HOW COOL THAT IS!!!!! THAT'S ME!!!! AH THE LITTLE THINGS!!!!

TRIPLE FEATURE!!!

AMC Theatres AMCHelps @LaughingTwiGirl That's our goal, we're just figuring out logistics. We're hoping to have that info ready next week. ^RN

So, after ordering my tickets last night, I started to see peeps popping on tweeter about triple features. I refreshed my page every hour on the hour until around 130 am... Then I got up and checked it again.

I also picked up my tickets too... They are safe and sound in my FIRE PROOF SAFE!

Any hoo, as I roamed tweeter today, I started to notice more and more peeps getting tickets for a triple feature and that they were selling out quickly. We did this feature for New Moon and it was awesome. We arrived at the theater for 645, Twilight started at 9pm, and sat right down! The best part, we didn't have to move! Stayed in the SAME theater!

Okay, I'm rambling here, I decided to see if AMC, which runs our theaters, was on tweeter, and they were, and I took the chance to ask that all to import question: Is AMC doing a Triple feature?

As you can see above, that is my return TWEET!!! Sweet! We get a triple feature the night of June 29th, Can't wait!!!

Have you bought your tickets yet? If so, are you doing the "Trilogy" or just Eclipse? I want to know!

LOOKIE WHAT I FOUND!!!

I love this! Is it June 29th yet??? Jeez, 46 days and counting... Tick Tock....

Dates Dates Dates and MORE DATES

Just when I thought I had listed everything that was going on, some more dates have POPPED up!!

Get your pen and paper or IPhone ready, you're going to want to write this stuff DOWN!!

May 20th, MUSE new single from the Eclipse soundtrack premieres on MTV!

May 18th, Nikki Reed will be on ELLEN!

May 19th, it's Rob's turn on ELLEN!

and on June 23rd, Jimmy Kimmel has the Twilight cast on Primetime!

WooHoo! I'm sure as we get closer to the 30th of June, there will be more appearances by the cast! Hope to see Taylor on Letterman or Fallon, that would be sweet!!

VENTING!

You have to excuse the vent today...

I am so tired of being called "OBSESSED" "FREAK" "NERD" and what ever other word people have posted to my FB page about my Twilight obsession.

I don't post as much any more on face book page because of it and have now become "OBSESSED" with Tweeter! Which by the way is SO much COOLER than F B!

But seriously peeps, it's not an obsession, it's a passion! Before Twilight, I never read anything except for high school required books! Give me an American History text book and I could read cover to cover and lose my self in it. But to read a "NOVEL", HAAAAAAAAAA

Back to the (.) My sister got me into Twilight, much like everyone else. Her friend told her about it and then on. I saw the first movie but she wouldn't tell me what happened next, "You have to read the books". So in early 2009, I bought both Twilight and New Moon in paperback, I figured, I saw Twilight, just read New Moon. So I did, in two FREAKING days. Then I was shopping one day and decided to look for Eclipse, but found Breaking Dawn in hard cover. I bought that one, thinking I could borrow my sister's copy of Eclipse. After waiting for about two weeks, I caved and read Breaking Dawn next. I KNOW, I'M A DUMB BUTT! And totally fell in love with the book. After a few days of my sis, yelling and screaming at me for reading the last book first, I borrowed her copy and read Eclipse again in two days.

After completeing the seires from Twilight to Breaking Dawn in two weeks, I started to search the internet for sites to get information on. I needed more!! Needless to say, I have found a lifetime of girl friends to share my "OBSESSION" with and wouldn't change it for the world!

So you can call me "OBSESSED" "FREAK" "TWI NERD" "NERD" "INSANE" or whatever but you see I have a little secret....

I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR ANNOYING ARSED!!!!!!!!

I'm done, come back tomorrow or next week... something else is bound to happen over here in my INSANE world!

Tickets, Tickets, Tickets

Holy Freaking Cow, the WAIT is finally over!

We now can purchase our Eclipse tickets for midnight, June 30th!! Woo Hoo Happy Dance!!!

I don't know about you guys, but for New Moon, I remember ordering our tickets 2 whole months before hand?

Any Hoo, they are up, so RUN don't walk to your nearest laptop, notebook or desktop and order those tickets! Let's push Eclipse up and over New Moon!!!!!

Why are you still reading this... you should be buying your tickets... GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a FREAKING DAY!

After yesterday's fiasco with the Eclipse Soundtrack listing, we got a special treat from the Oprah show!!

YES! RPatzz, KStew and TayTay were on the Oprah show TODAY!! Even though it was a taped show from last week, it still felt like a live show!!!

She started her show like any other... comparing the series to the Beatles, "85 million books sold world wide... Mother and daughters bonding... The spark back in their love lives... " (I paraphrased there) and then she introduced them... Crowd goes wild... She asked them if they wanted to keep screaming for the whole hour... Ah, hellooooo Why Yes, yes i would scream for an hour in front of RPatzz!!!

As the hour went on, I really started to get into it... She asked them quirky little questions like - "Why is KStew shy" and "What would you be doing on a Saturday night" and "How did RPatzz learn an American accent" His answer was watching American movies and just picked it up, them he proceeds to say "Water" "Pasta" and "Nachos" in his native tongue and I DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN!!!!

In between commercials, O threw in a little, and I mean little clip in from Eclipse... "THE HAND OFF" with a KISSSSSSSSSS "Does he ever wear a shirt" That will be MY LINE from this movie!!! I think I went into hysteria when I heard and saw that!!!

Then O showed some clips of RPatzz surprising fans at their home... That was wild! I tried to picture him showing up at my house and this is what I think would happen..........................

Then O showed a clip of Tay Tay surprising a huge group of sorority sisters. YIKES!

Now time for a little Dakota and an longer clip featuring Jane, Alec, Felix and Demtri!!! OMFE, Jane is such a Bad Butt!! She dropped Felix like it was NOTHING!

And yet another freaking commercial... BUT another little clip!! This time it's one my many favorite moments from the book, The Show Off... Feisty Edward is FREAKING HOT!!! And then another good line "I kissed Bella" Way to go Jake, not only does Ed want to kill you, you just made Charlie second guess ya! Way to Go Pup! LOL

And that is it!!! In all, it was a good show. I haven't been that excited about Oprah since, well New Kids On The Block was on, that was a long, long, long, time ago... in my other fandom world, lol!

SO, what did you think of O today??

DRAMA LLAMA

I like to blog... I like to gossip when I see fit... I also love to tweet... But I am also one to turn away when the "DRAMA LLAMA" rears it's ugly head!

First off... and I am going off of "RUMORS" ( I have a Fleetwood Mac tune stirring in my head)! I am getting really annoyed with these contract "RUMORS". Let's see... I am ball parking these figures... Twilight has made millions, New Moon has made millions, Eclipse will make millions... Do you see a pattern here? Hands down Summpid has a multi billion dollar toy to play with and that's exactly what they are doing. These "RUMORS" of negotiating contracts with lesser actors and these lesser actors wanting more money for two more films is WORTH IT!!!! Come on Summpid, it's called a RAISE! You do a good job and you are rewarded for it. So what if the "actor" was paid $1 million per the first three, if they want $3 million for the next two, who cares... You have over a billion in sales to dip into... pay the darn money Summpid.

Next... Location, Location, Location!!! I am all for production companies scouting locations in and around New Orleans and Baton Rouge for filming. It's good for our economy and puts us on the map, "HOLLYWOOD SOUTH", that's what the locals call it. However, for these "RUMORS" (darn Fleetwood Mac song) of production for Breaking Dawn coming to New Orleans are too funny. Me, myself and I just laughed and laughed and laughed. What I would give to have KStew or RPatzz or TayTay to come to town to film my FAVORITE book! HMMM... I could think of a few things... Our hotels would fill the moment the words spill through the press release, the city would be filled with tweens, teens, and grandma's vying for a chance to get that book signed or a picture with any of them.

But here's the deal... We have nothing to offer other than TAX CREDITS, for Breaking Dawn. The cottage is nestled into the forest of the PACIFIC, not the SWAMPS. The big confrontation takes place in the same area as the final fight scene in Eclipse, hello read the book. As for the honeymoon, we do have cruise ships that venture off to Cancun, Carlos n' Charlie's anyone? I am not dissing my home town, I just don't think New Orleans or any where in Louisiana is right for Breaking Dawn. Production needs to go back to where it alllllll started, Portland!

One more thing... Summpid stop playing around with us! We had so much more footage for New Moon than we do for Eclipse. This waiting is killing me! Also, where do you get off, giving out the groups one by one, every 1/2 hour for the soundtrack, what kinda of announcement is that? And we here in the states are FINALLY getting our midnight tickets for Eclipse? WTH Overseas has had them for months now and with a triple feature??

Any thing else.... Nope that's it... Until tomorrow, when the DRAMA LLAMA rears it's ugly head yet again to "RUMORS" (still singing that Fleetwood Mac song).

Eclipse Music

More dates... More dates....

Well, earlier director David Slade tweeted out that he and Howard Shore were working on the score for Eclipse.

Here is a little list for us die hard Twi Hards!!!!

New Moon is listed in FOUR categories...

Now Anna Kendrick and Dakota Fanning are nominated for their roles in Up in the Air and the Runaways!

The HARD part of voting will be choosing who?!?!? As Rob and Taylor both are competing against each other in the Best Male Performance and KStew and Dakota in the Best Female Performance. Now All Three are up for Global Super Star...

JAZZ FEST AND THEN SOME.... Pt 3!!!

Okay, the first picture is the crowd!! We had a huge ass crowd that Saturday even though the weather didn't look good!!! Which you can see in the second picture. But it never rained!!!

The next two are of front man Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, from the HUGE ASS BIG SCREEN I had in front of me!!!

If you notice, you see alot of FLAGS blowing in the wind... This is a staple for Jazz Fest. It's ID's for your friends so as you walk around, you can find them easily on your way back!! We had everything from... LSU to the Saints, to the American Flag, state flag, to college Flags from Alabama, Colorado and Tennessee!!!

AGAIN--- THE NEXT JAZZ FEST IS THE LAST WEEKEND OF APRIL AND FIRST WEEKEND IN MAY---- PLAN IT NOW!!!!!

JAZZ FEST AND THEN SOME.... Pt 2!!

This is part of Jazz Fest, the FOOOOOODDDDDDD. Here are some of the dishes I sampled while awaiting for Pearl Jam!

The far left one is Crawfish Bengiets and the one on the right is Seafood Au Gratin!!! I also had Crawfish Monica, Crawfish Bread, Stuffed Crab with potatoe salad and Fried Crab Cake!

So, if you're not doing anything the last weekend of April and the first weekend of May in 2011, I would recommend you come on down and check out the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival!!!

2010 TIME 100

So, I have finally read the little article that Chris Weitz wrote for TIME 100 about Rob... I think I love Weitz even more now, LOL!!!

If you haven't, then click on Rob's name here :
Robert Pattinson

And check it out!!!

A story about a Girl and her HIP!

So I finally went and saw the surgeon about this hip problem I've been having for nearly 14 years. Yea, I know... Any way, a few months ago, I was sitting for a couple of hours at my laptop looking around for Twilight news, tweeting, etc... all the while, getting up and down from a bar stool ( my laptop sits at our breakfast bar). So the next morning, my hip locked up on me.

I like to describe this as being when you try to crack your knuckle and it won't, that's what my hip does...

So, I go to an ortho doctor, so schedules an MRI on the spot (That's another story in itself). She looks at the film and basically says that she can't help, go see this Dr.

To make a long, very long story very, very short... I have finally saw one of only two doctors in our area, that perform this type of scope.

And we finally get a diagnosis... Labral Tear and Hip Impingement! Pretty impressive? LOL

Basically what is happening is that the Labral Tear is a piece of cartilage that slides into the ball joint of my hip and "LOCKS" it, so the hip can't rotate for me to walk, sit, bend, stand... Now for the Hip Impingement, because of the "LOCKING" the bone rubs against the bone and causes a bump and pain in the hip area.

So I need a simple surgery called Arthroscopic. OOOOOO They go in with a scope and repair the cartilage and shave down the bump on the bone.

However, this is a 3 - 4 week recovery time, one week being bed ridden and two weeks on crutches. So there is no way I could do this now, having all four kids home for the summer. So I must wait another few more months and will go ahead in the fall when school starts back up and have it done at that time.

I figured, I've dealt with it this long... I could deal with it some more!!!

JAZZ FEST AND THEN SOME....

So yesterday, May 1st was Jazz Fest for me, the hubby, thy neighbor and my best friend with her new man. We went to see Pearl Jam who closed out the Saturday festivities on the Acura Stage!

Me, the hubby and thy neighbor, who works for Shell/Motiva one of the sponsors for Jazz Fest, got our tickets for us. I love you Marcus!!!

We left early, or so we thought, and headed down to the fairgrounds. We decided to park near the site this year only because last year we waited for almost an hour for our shuttle bus to pick us up! We paid $20 bucks to park in a school parking lot, benefits the school, and walk about five blocks towards the fair grounds.

We entered the gates at 11:30am and quickly, very quickly walked towards the main stage to grab our spots. Here in New Orleans, Jazz Fest is rain or shine, and it didn't look pretty allllllll day....

So we found our spot, way, way, way, way, back from the stage but in front of the BIG ASS SCREEN!! We threw our $5.00 Dollar General blanket down and put our three chairs on top and went looking for BEER AND FOOD!!

And boy did we eat.... That's what you do at Jazz Fest... EAT, DRINK, PEE, REPEAT...

As the day progressed, the crowd thickened... By 4pm, you started to feel the body heat and your cell phone had no service because of the crowd!!!

And then the time came.... Pearl Jam took the stage at 4:50!! The crowd erupted in cheers and the die hards, like my self, couldn't sit still! They played a mixture of old and new, most notably... Alive, Evenflow and Why Go, some Better Man and Daughter, with a little Given to Fly and Do the Evolution. And a new single, The Fixer!

Pearl Jam never disappoints me... This will be the sixth time I have seen them live and love every minute of it! As always, Vedder thanked the faithful who follow the band, joked about the time he spent the night in a New Orleans jail cell and spoke about the oil spill we are dealing with right now.

He asked that the BP exces "...send their sons and daughters to the gulf coast to clean up their mess...".

He also gave a special shout out to the troops over seas in Iraq, who were watching them live, via feed from Jazz Fest!

So our time and year had come to a close for us, but it was way too early to go home!!! So we headed to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street until midnight to finish our amazing day!!

Jazz Fest 2010 was amazing, can't wait to see what they have in store for NEXT YEAR!!!

Dates Dates and more Dates!!

In anticipation for Eclipse, which hits theaters June 30th at midnight, there are a few dates between now and then you might want to write down!!!

If you're anything like me, you have a countdown for everything, Twi related!!! So here goes....

As for as television appearances by cast members...

Oprah's Twilight Special will air May 13th... Our famous triangle love trio will be there along with Dakota Fanning and others...

As for reading, there are some books coming out before Eclipse does...

The Collectors edition is due to hit book stores May 18th as well as the Movie paperback tie in edition! However the Movie Companion book is due out the day before Eclipse hits theaters, June 29th?!?!

And for the music of Eclipse...

The Soundtrack has a release date of June 8th but no word on the Score yet....

So you can see that May and June is pretty busy for us...

Amazon.com is taking pre orders for all the above, however, I'm the type of person that likes to feel my books and cd's in my hands!!!

Happy shopping!!!

New Director addresses the Fans

As many of you heard ,we finally have a director for Breaking Dawn, Bill Condon of Dreamgirls and Gods and Monters, fame. Apparently, this is a director who has done a little homework before accepting the job. On the Twilight face book page, he wrote a note to all the fans!

I love the fact that he greeted all of us...

"Greetings Twihards, Twifans, Twilight Moms, Team Edward, Team Jacob and Team Switzerland"

I know I fit in a few of those categories, LOL!

I love how he has described his research...

"I'm pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart: I've read BREAKING DAWN twice, rewatched Catherine's and Chris's movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine's notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz's companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk - a corner of my office is starting to look like Hot Topic. I realize that this barely qualifies me for "newborn" status in the universe you've been living inside for a few years now, but a guy's gotta start somewhere."

Would love to see a picture of that desk...

So, for now we must sit back and wait. I for one, will be antsy through this whole process, as said before, this one is my baby. I love Breaking Dawn the most out of the series and I look forward to seeing what Condon can do with this final book.

My ultimate wish is for the book to be broken into two films. I feel that too much would be left out if they did one at 2 2/1 hours of show time. I've sat through three hour long movies before but I honestly don't think Breaking Dawn should be one of them. The book flows from chapter to chapter, from Book one to Book two to Book three, nothing is left out. Meyer brought the whole story full circle till the last page.

With that said, I'm waiting...
